We publish practising professionals only. Approval happens once; after that, you submit finished articles directly to the editors.
Who we approve
- Physicians, surgeons, dentists and allied clinicians in active practice
- Attorneys admitted and in good standing, writing within their own practice areas
- CPAs, CFAs, enrolled agents and licensed financial advisors
- Licensed engineers, registered architects and comparable credentialed practitioners
What to send
One email. Attach your CV as a PDF and include, in the body of the message:
- Your full name, credentials and current firm or practice
- Your license, bar admission or registration number and the issuing body
- A business address, direct line and business email we can verify
- Links to two pieces of your published or unpublished writing, if you have them
- One paragraph on the subjects you would want to write about
Do not attach an article to your first email. We read applications before we read submissions, and unapproved manuscripts are returned unread.
After approval
Approved contributors email finished articles to the same address, together with the business details to be printed with the piece and any disclosure that applies. An editor reads every submission. Work that meets our standards runs in your own words, unrewritten, with your record attached. Work that does not gets a plain answer and, where it is useful, a reason.
