Privacy policy

Last updated: [DATE]

This policy explains what Worth Publishing Affiliate Blog collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website and the editorial mailbox at info@wpaffiliateblog.com.

Information you send us

Almost everything we hold, you sent us on purpose. When you apply to contribute, you email us a CV together with your name, credentials, license or registration details, firm, business address, telephone number and business email. When you submit an article, you send the manuscript, any disclosure that applies to it, and the business details to be printed with it.

We use that material for three things: verifying your credentials with the issuing board or registry, deciding whether to publish, and — for approved contributors — printing the Contributor Record that appears with the article.

Information that is published deliberately

If you are an approved contributor, your name, credentials, role, firm, license or registration of record, jurisdiction, business address, business telephone, business email and website are published on the site alongside your articles. This is the point of the publication, not a side effect, and every contributor agrees to it before their first piece runs. It is business contact information, not personal contact information, and contributors are asked not to give us a home address or a private number.

Your CV itself is never published. It is held as the evidence behind the verification.

Information collected automatically

Our web host records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of the request. These are used for security and to keep the site running. [If you use analytics, name the service here and say what it collects and whether IP addresses are anonymised.]

This site does not run advertising and does not sell data to anyone.

Cookies

The public pages of this site do not set tracking cookies. WordPress sets cookies for logged-in editors so they can stay signed in to the administration area. Comments are disabled site-wide, so no comment cookies are set.

Third parties we rely on

  • Web hosting. [Host name] stores the site and its database, and processes server logs on our behalf.
  • Email. [Provider] carries the mail sent to and from info@wpaffiliateblog.com.
  • Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google when you load a page. If you would prefer this not to happen, the fonts can be self-hosted; ask us and we will tell you where that stands.

We do not share submissions, CVs or correspondence with anyone else, except where we are required to by law.

How long we keep things

Verification records are kept for as long as the contributor’s work remains published, because they are the evidence behind the claim we make on every article. Applications that are declined are deleted within [12 months]. Correspondence is kept for [24 months]. Server logs are retained by our host for [30 days].

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are a contributor and you ask for deletion, we will also withdraw your published articles, because we will no longer be able to stand behind the record attached to them. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA; we apply the same process to everyone.

Write to info@wpaffiliateblog.com. We respond within [30 days].

Children

This site is intended for professional adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects contributors, tell them by email.
